This fair trade Gambibgo pot basket is striking and durable. It is bulb-shaped with an open top, and has a single flexible leather handle. This beautiful African basket is approximately 13" in diameter at the bottom, widening to 16" at its widest point and then narrowing to 11" at the top. It is approximately 13" deep, not including the handle. It comes with a hang tag with information about fair trade Bolga baskets. It is equally happy functioning as a tote or storing newspapers, magazines, yarn, and other household items.

To clean or re-shape your Bolga basket, simply wet it with cool water, clean and shape it as needed (use mild soap only and avoid wetting the leather), and allow it to air dry.
Gambibgo pot baskets are crafted in the Gambibgo community, near Bolgatanga in Ghana. They are woven from abundant local elephant grass, and the handles are made from goat skin.
