Makenge baskets are used to winnow maize in some rural areas of Zambia. They are woven from the roots of the Makenge bush, which can be harvested without killing the plant. The baskets are so rigid as to resemble wood in look and feel, and are durable enough to last for generations. This basket is approximately 17 1/2" x 2", and is natural, charcoal, and tea.
If you order this basket you will receive the precise one seen in the image. Only one is available.
