This Zulu telephone wire basket is hand-woven from plastic coated electrical and telephone wires. It is approximately 3" deep by 5 3/4" in diameter at the top, tapering to 2 1/2" in diameter at the base. Shades of blue are woven in a swirl pattern. This beautiful basket was handmade in South Africa, where the Zulu people have a long and rich history of weaving baskets from whatever materials have been available to them. It is a fair trade product.
