This striking, shallow Zulu telephone wire basket combines traditional skills with modern materials. It is approximately 1 3/4" deep by 9 1/4" in diameter, with an earthy swirl pattern in shades of brown, cream and copper. It displays equally well flat or upright. Zulu wire baskets are hand-woven from the top down from plastic coated electrical and telephone wires. Along with the skill and experience needed to produce intricate patterns, the artisan must possess great hand and forearm strength in order to achieve the tight weave. The result is a beautiful and functional work of art. This telephone wire basket will stand up to heavy daily use and can be cleaned in warm, soapy water. It is made in South Africa.
If you order this basket you will receive the precise one seen in the image. Only one is available.
